“I am a Luck Dragon,” Falkor said.
“A Luck Dragon?” Atreyu asked.
“Yes, a Luck Dragon. I will bring you all the luck you need.”
If only Luck Dragons were real just like in The Neverending Story. There is such a thing as Luck Dragons in your fantasies. Fantasies can be whatever you want them to be. Fantasies are your own imagination.
The theme of this story is romance. It follows the theme of a romance because it starts off with a mild conflict because Bastian is being bullied. Bastian comes across a book called The Never ending Story. In the book there’s a place called Fantasia and that’s where everyone’s fantasies are. Soon there becomes a bigger conflict. The Nothing is destroying Fantasia. The Nothing is taking over Fantasia because everyone is forgetting their fantasies. Atreyu is sent to fight The Nothing. Atreyu has a quest to get rid of The Nothing and save the Empress. The story ends in a new beginning for Fantasia as it rebuilds after being destroyed by The Nothing.
The Nothing is a horrible thing. It destroys everything in its path. It wants to destroy Fantasia. You may be asking yourself, “What is The Nothing?” Well The Nothing is people forgetting their fantasies. Since Fantasia is where everyone’s fantasies go, without fantasies there will be no Fantasia.
Since there probably is no Fantasia people keep their fantasies in their head. Or maybe they write them down or some people might draw them. Without fantasies everyone would eventually go crazy from reality. Fantasies are what keep us from going mad because we can make up a place to where we can go when were feeling down or just can’t handle reality anymore. Everyone has a fantasy but each one is different.
Fantasies are what keep us going every day. Because without them we would eventually fall apart from all the craziness in this world. Just like Bastian in The Neverending Story we all need that little fantasy to keep us going every day.
