25% of teenagers become regular smokers by the age of 16. Not all adults understand why teenagers are the way they are. That gets frustrating for teenagers sometimes. Teenagers are very difficult sometimes it’s just because we’re going through a phase of trying to find ourselves. Teenagers are just misunderstood. Teenagers are very misunderstood at times because we’re just confused at times. That’s how we get pressured easily. Some think that smoking or doing drugs and drinking will make us cooler. But in the end it’ll just hurt us more. Were not as smart as adults and that’s maybe why we get taken advantage of by others. Teenage girls get taken advantage of very easily. It because they’re not as strong as guys. Guys think they can just push girls around and do whatever they want to them because guys are stronger than girls. However girls are just as strong, maybe not physically but mentally. Parents try and shape us to be good adults. Parents don’t really understand teenagers that well. They were once teenagers. It seems like they have forgotten how a teenager is. Sometimes they ground us for no apparent reason. Maybe they miss being a teenager. They had to grow up fast and maybe didn’t have time to be a teenager and have fun.
We claim that no one understands us and that’s because we are misunderstood. Teenagers make some pretty bad decisions sometimes and they are mistakes. We all learn from our mistakes. They make us better people.

The stove is lit.
Sitting in the kitchen looking out the window at a rainy sky.
Cold and lonely.
Wishing for something that’s warm.
Mom makes me Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup.
Feels like when I was little.
The memories of today feel so similar.
Like they happened yesterday.
Maybe they did.
I don’t remember.
But they are similar.
I hope the rain stops.
As I eat my soup I glance outside.
Its sunny!
Life feels good now.
